UpwardsCalability

Our Journey

Passionately crafting genuine Italian pizza since 1985

Our

From the Heart of Naples to Your Local Community

With a vision to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to London, 'UpwardsCalability' started as the brainchild of the Johnson family back in 1985, operating as a quaint, family-owned restaurant boasting recipes that span generations.

During her Italian sojourn, Emily Johnson, our visionary, mastered the craft of pizza creation amidst the maestros of Naples, the true home of pizza. Bringing her newfound skills back to the UK, her ambition was to replicate the enchanting flavors of classic Italian pizza, combining ancestral techniques and premium ingredients.

From its original form as a cozy 12-seater eatery, 'UpwardsCalability' has evolved into a cherished community staple. Our devotion to impeccable quality and genuine tastes stays firm. We persist in using classic wood-fired ovens, freshly prepared dough, and the choicest ingredients for our creations.

Currently, 'UpwardsCalability' is still governed by the Johnson lineage, with the second family generation at the helm, guiding our devoted crew. While we've incorporated select contemporary advancements, the essence of our mission remains intact: forging outstanding, authentic pizzas that unite diners.

Hear From Our Patrons

This is as close to genuine Neapolitan pizza as it gets outside of Italy. The dough is just the right amount of chewy, and it's got that signature char that only comes from a wood-fired oven.
